To Not Be

To not be seen.
To not be owned.
To not be told.
To not be bound.
To not be clay.
To not be safe.
To not be reined in
or reserved.

To not be sober.
To not be silent.
To not be steady.
To not be blue.
To not be blamed.
To not be caged.
To not be wrong
or wronged.

To be plain and purposeful
as a rainpuddle,
finding paths downward
through the saturated earth.
To ride the cloud cycle,
and become the ebb
and the flow.
To be unfinished
but complete.
